How Do I Get a Car Seat or Crib?

Car Seats, Cribs, Crib Mattresses, and Play Yards are all managed by the Blessings Boutique. These items are not available to order online or shop in person. Keep reading to find out how to get what you need!

Car Seats

To keep babies safe, we can help provide a car seat to eligible caregivers in the Southeast Texas region.

To get a car seat:

1. Create an account at saferidersbmt.com

2. Complete an online class, in-person group class, or one-on-one appointment.

3. Schedule a time for an installation demonstration.

Car seats are available once you enter your 3rd trimester. If you need to know if you're eligible or when your third trimester starts, you can take our eligibility quiz or use our 3rd trimester calculator here.

Cribs

To keep babies safe while they sleep, we can help provide a crib to clients enrolled in the Hope Academy. These cribs are limited in availability as they are based on donations from the community. We only offer brand-new cribs in the original packaging. You will never receive a used crib from the Hope Clinic.

To get a crib:

1. Complete the Safe Sleep Program here.

2. Complete the Safe Sleep Request form here. (You will not have access to this form until you complete the Safe Sleep Program.)

3. Make sure you have enough points and add more if needed.

4. Wait for an email from blessings@hope-clinic.com with details about the crib and your approval status.

Cribs are 100 points. If applicable, we begin approval at the beginning of the third trimester. We highly recommend placing your request as soon as possible to allow us to plan correctly for the cribs we need at any given time.

You can only receive one crib per family per lifetime. So, you will only receive one crib from the Hope Clinic between you and your co-parent. Some exceptions are made in pregnancies with multiples.

Crib Mattresses

To keep babies comfortable while they sleep, we can help provide a crib mattress to clients enrolled in the Hope Academy. These crib mattresses are limited in availability as they are based on donations from the community. We offer brand-new and gently used crib mattresses. All gently-used crib mattresses are inspected and properly sanitized before distribution.

To get a crib mattress:

1. Complete the Safe Sleep Program here.

2. Complete the Safe Sleep Request form here. (You will not have access to this form until you complete the Safe Sleep Program.)

3. Make sure you have enough points and add more if needed.

4. Wait for an email from blessings@hope-clinic.com with details about the crib and your approval status.

New crib mattresses are 50 points, and gently used crib mattresses are 25 points. If applicable, we begin approval at the beginning of the third trimester. We highly recommend placing your request as soon as possible to allow us to plan correctly for the crib mattresses we need at any given time. You do not have to receive a crib from the Hope Clinic to receive a crib mattress.

You can only receive one crib mattress per client per child. So, if you have two eligible children, you may receive two crib mattresses. If you and your co-parent each need a crib mattress, you may each request one.

Play Yards

Play Yards (also called Pack-N-Plays) are an excellent alternative to a crib for safe sleep, especially if you live in tight quarters. We can help provide a play yard to clients enrolled in the Hope Academy. These play yards are limited in availability as they are based on donations from the community. We offer brand-new and gently used play yards. All gently-used play yards are inspected, checked for recalls, and properly sanitized before distribution.

To get a play yard:

1. Complete the Safe Sleep Program here.

2. Complete the Safe Sleep Request form here. (You will not have access to this form until you complete the Safe Sleep Program.)

3. Make sure you have enough points and add more if needed.
