How Do I Get a Car Seat?

To keep babies safe, Hope Women's Resource Clinic has a program called Safe Riders. Safe Riders can help provide a car seat to eligible caregivers in the Southeast Texas region. Safe Riders only offers brand-new car seats to eligible caregivers. If you need a car seat, you must complete the Safe Riders program.

To get a car seat:

1. Create an account at saferidersbmt.com

2. Complete an online class, in-person group class, or one-on-one appointment.

3. Schedule a time for an installation demonstration.

4. A Child Passenger Safety Technician (CPST) will meet with you one-on-one to show you how to install your specific car seat in your vehicle and answer any questions you may have.

If you already have a car seat and would like help installing it or need any questions answered, you can reach out to the Safe Riders program to schedule a one-on-one with a CPST for your child's car seat.
